BBQ Deboned Jumbo Quail Pie

Ingredients:

Hoekkraaltjie Whole Deboned Quail

125 ml Tomato Sauce (All Gold)

125 ml Chutney (Mrs Balls)
-
60 ml Soya Sauce (Kikkoman)

Portuguese Spice to your taste

Puff Pastry (I used Today Original Puff Pastry)
Method:

Pre-heat oven to 180°C and grease an oven dish,

Cook (braai) Hoekkraaltjie Whole Deboned Quail low over high heat coals until seared / browned,

Chop the meaty bits into smaller pieces, cut off the wings for stock and the drummets can be enjoyed as a pre-meal snack!

Mix chopped quail pieces with tomato sauce, chutney and soya sauce,
-
Place puff Pastry over the mixture and decorate as desired,

Use melted butter / egg white for browning,

Bake in the oven for 20 - 25 mins.
